Measuring Up Baking Company was started by husband and wife team, Vincent and Dolores McDuffie, professional chefs.
After attending culinary school and working in the hospitality industry with Hyatt, Marriott, restaurants and private clubs across the states, we started Previews Catering in 2002 in Indianapolis, Indiana. We relocated to New Orleans, LA in 2005, but after Hurricane Katrina we took our "homeless" tour across the states and then moved back home to Detroit with family. In 2006, we decided to launch a company in our area that could "measure up" to our clients' expectations.
All of our products are made from scratch, keeping simplicity of foods in mind. Our menus are innovative with a twist, and our travels across the country, knowledge and over 20 years experience in the culinary industry allows for us to offer exquisitely different culinary options including those for the health conscious. We offer a variety of desserts ranging from mini french pastries to our wonderful cream cheese pound cake. We specialize in wedding, birthday, anniversary , specialty and sculpted cakes.

Many of our products are able to be shipped right to your door through our catalog and we offer a variety of services to our community including instruction classes, sponsorships and fundraisers. It is our attention to detail (and the fact that it taste phenomenal helps) that we believe will keep our consumers enjoying our products for years to come.
